Inside EastEnders star James Bye’s tearful vow renewal with pregnant wife and their three kids

EASTENDERS star James Bye has revealed all about his tearful vow renewal with his pregnant wife.

The 38-year-old actor, who is best known for playing Martin Fowler on the hit BBC soap, jetted off to St Lucia for the special occasion.

The happy couple headed to St Lucia to redo their big day

The couple – who wed back in 2012 – decided to redo their big day on a fantastic holiday with their family and friends, including James’ co-star Lacey Turner

Describing the special day, James, 38, admitted he was unable to control his emotions and struggled to get his words out during his vows. 

Joking about her husband’s decision to freestyle instead of his prepare his vows in advance, Victoria, 40, told the : “In hindsight I think had wished he’d written them down because once he started crying, he was a bit all over the place.”

James then confessed: “I choked up, the emotions took over.”

The EastEnders star revealed his three-year-old son Hugo had to have a word with him.

James recalled: “Hugo kept saying ‘Stop crying, dad!’ And then he was whispering in my ear, ‘Can I watch Netflix? Can I go on your phone?'”

Their eldest son Edward, 9, also had a part in the ceremony as he walked Victoria down the aisle.

The couple also have son Louis, six, and are expecting their fourth child this year.

On New Year’s Day, James and Victoria announced they were expecting another baby after trying for three years.

In , they can be seen all smiles in their kitchen, with Victoria putting her left arm around James and with the baby scan photo in her right hand.

Alongside fans, his EastEnders family and 2022 Strictly Come Dancing cast members commented their congratulations.

Lacey Turner, who plays Martin Fowler’s ex-wife Stacey Slater, left a red heart, while his Strictly dance partner Amy Dowden said: “So happy for your beautiful family xxxx.”
