A FORMER BBC Breakfast presenter made an unexpected cameo on today's episode.
Much-loved host Louise Minchin, 54, quit BBC Breakfast in September 2021 after 20 years in her role.
In June 2021 the broadcaster, 52, revealed she was leaving the daily show.
Yet she made an unexpected comeback on Saturday's BBC Breakfast during a discussion about a charity fundraiser in Edinburgh.
Olympic medal-winning rower Katherine Grainger was interviewed on a live link to Edinburgh by presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty about the Doddie Aid rowing challenge, in aid of former rugby player Doddie Weir.
The Scotland and British Lions star sadly died from motor neurone disease late last year, aged 52.
As she explained the charity event, a giggling Louise popped on screen and then scooted away.
Katherine said: "Come back!" before Louise arrived on screen and said: "I can't hear them!"
Katherine replied: "I can interview you," before asking how she was and her pre-row prep.
She rounded off the quick chat by saying: "The sofa misses you!" to which Louise replied: "I miss the sofa!"

After making her exit public in 2021, Louise told how she was looking forward to spending more time with husband David, who she married in 1998, and their two daughters.
In an emotional statement, she said: “I have absolutely loved being part of the 6 million strong BBC Breakfast family but after nearly two decades presenting the programme, I have decided it is time I stopped setting my alarm for 0340 in the morning.
"A big thank you to everyone who has watched and supported me, I have loved it and I will miss you all.”
