EastEnders legends look a world away from their TV characters as they meet up in London

EASTENDERS legends Cheryl Fergison and Steve McFadden reunited for a rare day out in London on Tuesday.

Cheryl - who was best known for playing Heather Trott on the BBC One soap from  2007 until 2012 - beamed for a photo alongside the Phil Mitchell actor.

The pair looked in good spirits as they spent the afternoon catching-up in the capital.

Wrapped up warm in a black winter coat, Cheryl flashed a big smile as she posed in front of Tower Bridge.

Cheryl - who left the soap 10 years ago after she was killed off - went onto praise her former co-star for being a good friend to her all these years.

Alongside the photo, she wrote: "Me and my Big Brov ….Mr Steve Mcfadden…Thank you for always caring for me and my family and for being so hospitable."

EastEnders fans were thrilled to see the iconic duo reunite, with one writing: "Brilliant picture of you both Cheryl and Steve."

Another posted: "Phil and Heather never thought I’d see u two together again."

While former EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook, who played Sam Mitchell, commented: "Send him my love please got to love fingers."

It comes after Cheryl wowed fans with her stunning appearance as she attended the star-studded premiere of the new Dirty Dancing stage show on Wednesday.

Cheryl looked effortlessly chic in a black maxi dress teamed with a patterned shirt.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star flashed a smile as she posed on the red carpet.

She kept her make-up simple and added some red lipstick for the glitzy occasion.

Cheryl accessorised with a black hat and wore her tight curls loose.

Heather Trott actress Cheryl first began playing her infamous character in 2007 before being brutally killed off in 2012.

Since then Cheryl has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, David Walliams sitcom Big School and the BGT star's Christmas drama Hansel and Gretel After Ever After.

The positive-thinking star manifested a bright future for herself last year, writing: "Visualising all the good things that will make this the perfect year in my work, with my family, in my health and to finally have a secure financial future..."

Cheryl has racked up an online following on Instagram and TikTok as of late thanks to her live streams and her powerful singing voice.
