Coronation Street cancelled tonight as soap schedules in chaos
CORONATION Street has been cancelled tonight - as the soap schedules are plunged into chaos again.
However, ITV has made sure that Coronation Street fans won't have to go without their fix for too long... again.
Typically airing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the Manchester-based drama has been taken off schedule on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately for viewers, they will have to wait for the drama to unfold as ITV airs another FA Cup match.
The long-running soap will be replaced by Manchester City's confrontation with Arsenal, with kick-off set for 8pm.
Gunners will be facing City, the second in Premier League, in the FA Cup's fourth round.
More Corrie
Set to take a night off tonight in favour of the FA Cup action, Corrie actually aired last night instead.
An hour-long instalment of the fan favourite was screened at 9pm on Thursday night.
The upcoming drama should keep viewers on their toes ahead of Monday as other matches will be taking over this weekend.
Coronation Street will be back to its regular schedule on Monday (January 30, 2023), airing from 8pm.

TV shake-ups have been frequent on the box with Corrie fans having to wait several days before being able to catch up with life in Weatherfield.
The iconic soap was already pulled off the air for the World Cup and the changes also had an impact on rival ITV show Emmerdale and BBC One's EastEnders.
Viewers were forced to wait for the climax of Max's grooming storyline on January 9.
