The Chase fans baffled as they spot contestant’s striking ‘link’ to EastEnders

THE Chase viewers could not believe their eyes when they thought they had spotted an EastEnders legend on the show.

Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players to the set of the ITV quiz show in order to take on the Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace.

Viewers of the show were left immediately distracted by one particular contestant on the show however.

40 year old Ryan from Essex left fans doing a double take thanks to his striking resemblance to EastEnders icon Danny Dyer.

Fans flocked to Twitter to comment on the similarities.

One said: "He’s a better Danny Dyer impersonator than that."

Another added: "Danny Dyeresque #TheChase"

A third commented: "Poundland Danny Dyer #TheChase."

While a fourth penned: "This fella makes Danny Dyer sound posh! #TheChase"

With a fifth summing up Ryan's demeanour as:  "He’s a little bit wey, little bit woo, he’s a geezer! #TheChase"

Scaffolder Ryan put in a good performance as he and his three fellow teammates all made it back to the desk in order to play in the final chase.

Despite this, the final fell flat as the four players only managed a disappointing score of 12.

Host Bradley told them they 'underperformed' as Ryan was left 'fuming' at the result.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
