Hairy Bikers Si King and Dave Myers leave BBC viewers gutted with ‘heartbreaking’ update
THE Hairy Bikers have shared an update on the future of their new TV show which has left fans gutted.
The presenting duo, made up of Si King and Dave Myers, have been fronting the new BBC show, Hairy Bikers Go Local.
But the boys have confirmed fans' nightmares by announcing the show's run is over after eight episodes.
Having been the hosts of a number of cooking and travel shows, the pair investigated quality local restaurants working with local suppliers in their latest BBC offering.
The hosts confirmed the series' end in an Instagram post.
Alongside a clip from the programme, they wrote: "Sadly, the series has come to an end.

"We hope you enjoyed the series and the journey we went through with each episode, we look forward to seeing you on your telly sometimes soon. Be sure to catch all of the episodes from GO LOCAL on iPlayer!"
This series is believed to have been the last one Dave filmed before he announced he had been diagnosed with cancer last year.
Fans were left devastated to learn that the show would be having no further episodes and rushed to share their disappointment, and gratitude, to the pair in the comments section.
One gutted fan penned: "I've watched you guys from the start. Can't believe it's come to the end! Looking forward to your next project!"

As a third wrote: "It was too short!!!! Need more screen time with you guys!!!! Xxx"
The viewers were also left pleading for more as they insisted they could 'not wait' until the Bikers were back on screens.
One fan declared: "Really enjoyed the series... looking forward to seeing you both on our screens again soon."
With another echoing: "Great series - loved it! Hope to see you on our screens again soon. Take care."
