Michael McIntrye's Big Show was last on air back in 2019.

Tonight the comedian, 46, returned to the stage with new jokes to get people laughing.

He wasn't the only famous face who made an appearance as Rylan Clark, Joel Corry and Tom Grennan also starred in the episode.

However some watching at home weren't very impressed.

One said on Twitter: "Michael McIntyre's TV show is on for the first time in about three years. Shame the gap can't be another three years. About as funny and entertaining as a bucket of wasps. Come on BBC you can do better!!"

"I sincerely hope I never have to watch this again," a second confessed.

"Michael McIntyre's Big show is awful s***e," a third added.

Meanwhile others were over the moon that the comedian had made an epic return.

A fourth added: "Michael McIntyre's Big Show is exactly what we needed back on telly."

"Now THAT'S how you do Saturday evening family entertainment! #bigshow," another tweeted.

A sixth said: "I love Michael McIntyre’s #BigShow. Old-school Saturday night entertainment. Great to see it back."

The show premiered back in 2015 as a special, but has since then had six successful seasons.
