Towie reveal huge shakeup to the show and exotic new overseas location
THE Only Way is Essex is set for a huge show overhaul as the cast are whisked away on an exotic new trip.
The next series of the hit ITVBe show is due to begin filming soon with the show set to receive a huge format overhaul.
With the cast set to head off on an epic adventure, bosses will be taking them there mid-way through the series as opposed to right at the very beginning, which has been the norm in the previous editions of the show.
This will allow the drama to bubble in Essex meaning tensions will likely be high by the time the gang head overseas.
In true glamorous TOWIE style, the cast will head to Thailand for an epic sun-soaked adventure.
A source close to the show said: “Following the success of its first long haul trip since Covid last series, TOWIE bosses are once again flying the cast to a distant land. This time producers are opting for the beautiful island of Phuket, which sits on the Andaman Sea with a backdrop of blue bays, palm filled cliffs and white beaches.

It will be the first time that show bosses have treated the cast to a trip to stunning Thailand and it won't just be the heat that is getting turned up as wherever the ladies and gentleman of TOWIE go, drama soon follows.
This exciting announcement comes off the back of reports that Geordie Shore legend Sophie Kasaei will be making an apparance on the show alongside her boyfriend Jordan Brook.
The Sun previously revealed Sophie, 33, is dating Towie star Jordan Brook and insiders have claimed bosses want to use the situation to boost viewing figures.

A source said: "Sophie has been on reality TV for over 12 years, she knows what makes a good show."
The insider continued to the : "Producers are really excited that she's joining Towie and hopes she will bring some of her fiery Geordie energy to the cast.
The telly source also suggested there could be fireworks between Sophie and Towie stars Chloe Brockett and Ella Rae Wise, who both previously dated Jordan.
