EastEnders fans left open-mouthed as Jean Slater’s real age is revealed
JEAN Slater was adamant on her family not organising any kind of party for her birthday.
However, EastEnders fans were more surprised when they found out her age during last night's trip to the Square.

With the amount of drama in Walford, it's easy for BBC One viewers to lose track of how old some of their favourite characters are.
In recent scenes, the Slater clan has been plagued by a series of issues.
Following a gas leak during their New Year's Eve shindig, some members of the family were rushed to hospital.
This led to Stacey Slater finding out her twelve-year-old daughter Lily was pregnant.

Unfortunately, after a huge disagreement with their landlord Nish Panesar, the family's rent was increased and money is becoming a cause for concern.
As a result, Jean Slater (portrayed by Gillian Wright) categorically refused a party for her birthday.
Her daughter Stacey went against her wishes and still treated her to a surprise gathering as Jean returned home with her boyfriend Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) in tow.
The cleaner was over the moon when she saw her nearest and dearest in her lounge, ready to celebrate her 60th birthday during last night's instalment of the London-based drama.

But EastEnders viewers were flabbergasted when they found out how old Jean really was.
A handful of soap fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
"Jean's 60??? She doesn't look it", one of them wrote as another echoed: ""JEAN'S 60th!!!"
A third penned: "Harvey bringing round flowers for Jean’s 60th", alongside a teary-eyed emoji.
The Walford cabbie has been concerned for the Slaters and their money woes.
Jean Slater ended her birthday on a high note when Harvey came up with a solution to help the family financially.
Harvey decided to move in with Jean and her clan, proving their relationship was back on the right track.

Her ill mental health resulted in her being hospitalised and her relationship with Harvey was left on a hiatus.
Seeing no way to patch things up with Jean, an overwhelmed Harvey tried to move on, to no avail.
