It's the latest in a number of careers the star has tried his hand at after football, modelling and photography.

But now family friend Gordon has defended him and said he never chose to be famous and have his life choices scrutinised.

Speaking to the , Gordon said: "Brooklyn has grown up with my kids and is the son of dear friends of ours. I haven't seen the video of his supposedly 'raw' beef.

"But even as a 12-year-old, whilst playing football, Brooklyn was always excited about food. So I'm pleased that he's gone down that road and he's found something he really enjoys doing."

He went onto add that he would welcome Brooklyn into the celebrity chef fold, saying: "It's hard, isn't it? Because he didn't ask for that level of intrusion from having famous parents.

"It probably came off a certain way, but it's not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I'm excited. We have another chef joining the mix."

Brooklyn came under fire after he took to Instagram to show off his own version of a traditional Sunday roast that he worked on with former Michelin chef, Kevin Lee.

Brooklyn, 23, cooked up a storm online as he made his "Michelin" style Sunday Roast.

The pair were seen making Roast Beef with traditional trimmings such as Yorkshire Puddings, glazed carrots and crispy roast potatoes.

But the foodie, who is married to actress Nicola Peltz, was slammed by fans online for how "raw" the meat looked when he unveiled the finished product.

One disgusted user wrote: "A good vet could bring that back to life 🤢"

Another said: "Might as well bite the cow while it’s grazing."

Whilst a third noted: "That looks very raw."
