BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst leaves Jon Kay squirming as she fumes she’s ‘never been angrier’ with husband
BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst left Jon Kay squirming after she fumed she'd 'never been angrier' with her husband.
Nina, 42, was discussing pasties with Jon, 53, and Sally Nugent, 51, on Wednesdays show, having visited a bakers the day before.
Jon and Sally had mentioned the story of a Cornish pasty being sent into space via a helium balloon.
But Nina said: "Do you know what? I can take or leave a Cornish pasty. I know that'll be controversial.
"The ratio of filling to pastry is not for me. There's too much pastry round the edge."
She then recounted a story of her own, saying: "Can I tell you what happened yesterday? I took a steak slice home, really looking forward to it for my lunch.

"Came downstairs and my husband said, 'Delicious steak slice, that'."
Realising the gravity of the situation, Sally asked: "Oh? Is he still alive?"
Looking nonplussed, Nina - who is married to husband Ted - replied: "Barely. I don't think I've ever been angrier with him, or with anyone."
Jon joked: "He's about to be minced and put in a pasty!"
He then asked: "So the pasties you were eating yesterday, they were different from Cornish pasties?"
Nina replied: "They're sort of rectangular, but the pastry is a lot thinner. They don't have that ridge round the edge."
She then said to him: "Come on, Jon! You're from the South West!"
Squirming Jon admitted: "I am from the South West. I think you're about to start a civil war if you start talking about pasty problems and rival pasties!"
When Nina said it was a "matter of taste" Jon replied: "You're prepared to taste more, yes?"
Nina said: "I'm prepared to do a taste test if the job requires it."
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
