LOVE Island sign up hair stylist Tanyel Revan to join the show.

The 26-year-old, from North London, will be jetting off to find love in the Love Island villa.

Who is Tanyel Revan?

Tanyel works as a hair stylist living in North London.

However, it looks like she might be looking for a change of scenery as she jets off to to join the Love Island cast.

She has said that she has gone into the villa because she is "ready to meet someone".

Asked what she will bring to the villa, Tanyel said: "Energy, confidence, I’m funny, loud, feisty, charismatic."

And discussing why someone might one to date her, she boasted: "I’m hard to get, confident, funny, charismatic, good looking and happy.

"I’m also a very loyal person, what is there not to love?"

Despite in previous series, friends and family members taking over the contestants' social media, this time nothing will be posted until they have left the villa.

Who is in the Love Island 2022 cast?

Tanyel joins the franchise’s first ever partially-sighted contestant – Ron Hall, 26,  payroll administrator Anna-May Robey, 20, and farmer Will Young, 23.

Other names confirmed include make-up artist Lana Jenkins, 25, P.E teacher Kai Fagan and biomedical science student Tanya Manhenga, 22.

His confirmation as a contestant comes after new host Maya Jama touched down in South Africa over the weekend ready for the January 16 launch night.

The contestants who have been revealed so far are:

  • Olivia Hawkins, 27 - Ring girl and actress from Brighton
  • Lana Jenkins, 25 - Make-up artist from Luton
  • Tanya Manhenga, 22 - Student and influencer from Liverpool
  • Anna-May Robey, 20 - Payroll administrator from Swansea
  • Kai Fagan, 24 - Science and PE teacher from Manchester
  • Ron Hall, 25 - Financial advisor from Essex
  • Will Young, 23 - Farmer from Buckinghamshire
  • Shaq Muhammad, 24 - Airport security officer from London
  • Haris Namani, 21 - TV salesman, Doncaster
  • Tom Clare, 23 - Footballer, Barnsley
  • Ellie Spence, 25 - Law firm administrator, Norwich

When does Love Island start?

Love Island returns on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 9pm on ITV2.

The show continues every night except Saturday, when a highlights show will be aired instead.

Episodes will be available to watch at on ITVX.

The final show will take place eight weeks later on March 13, 2023.
