Apprentice’s Kim Kardashian wannabe’s company owes £65,000 and has just £500 in assets

THIS Apprentice candidate calls herself “the Kim Kardashian of the business world” — but her firm owes £65,000, with just £500 in assets.

Telly wannabe Rochelle Anthony is a far cry from reality superstar Kim, 42, who is worth an estimated £1.5billion.

Bedfordshire mum-of-two Rochelle, 35, portrays a jet-set lifestyle on Instagram.

But her main Milton Keynes salon business had liabilities of £65,146 on its balance sheet, with £512 in assets.

As she entered Lord Alan Sugar’s BBC1 business show, Rochelle said: “I’m always being compared to the Kim Kardashian of the business world because I’m doing business with a hint of glam.”

But a source said she “doesn’t quite match up”.

In a statement, Rochelle said: "The hairdressing industry was severely affected by the pandemic.

"My salon has not fully recovered from the pandemic and the cost of living crisis presents another challenge.

"It’s a big reason why I applied for The Apprentice. I hope to show that my belief in my dream is strong, and I won’t be deterred from achieving my ambitions."

Another contestant, Bradley Johnson, 27, calls himself the “Del Boy of Teeside” but his roofing firm is £24,000 in the red and made redundancies just before Christmas.

In a statement, Bradley said: "EAUK Ltd is my secondary company, focusing on building. Unfortunately, there was not as much demand for this work, so I had to make the difficult decision to let some employees go.

"As any business owner will say, you sometimes have to make difficult decisions. My primary focus is Garden Rooms which I am looking to expand."
