The Apprentice fans all have the same complaint as Lord Sugar sets first task

THE Apprentice swapped the bustling streets of London for the white sandy beaches of Antigua tonight as the BBC show made its return.

While everyone watching at home agreed the Caribbean scenery was breathtaking, they questioned the need for putting all 18 candidates on a long haul flight during a cost of living crisis.

One wrote on Twitter: "Was there really any need to fly all the candidates to Antigua?"

Another posted: "Antigua on task 1!!! Cost of living what?!!!"

A third said: "Starts the programme mentioning the cost of living crisis & then sends the contestants to Antigua."

Others were baffled why the candidates were still in their suits and officewear on the beach in the baking sunshine

The girls and boys faced off on the island, flogging very different cultural tours.

It wasn't long before the girls found themselves in a spot of bother as they tried to sell pricey catamaran excursions on deserted beaches.

Cue lots of bickering and blaming of each other over the poor choice of location.

Meanwhile the boys' project manager Joe Phillips, who compared himself to James Bond at the start of the show, came unstuck as he led a guided tour of Fort Berkeley.
