Waterloo Road newbie, 14, has a VERY famous dad – but do you see the resemblance?
ONE of the most iconic schools on the British box reopened its doors last night after an eight-year break.
Waterloo Road introduced a new face who shares a surprising connection with another soap star.
A handful of familiar faces were welcomed back to Waterloo Road's comprehensive school as BBC One aired a first glimpse at the series' reboot last night.
However, the show was also an opportunity for newbies to show off their acting chops.
Among them, 14-year-old Scarlett Thomas made her acting debut as Izzie Charles.
She was seen alongside her uncle, former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas.

But there was another member of her famous family who was extremely eager to see Scarlett's performance in Waterloo Road.
Taking to Instagram, Ryan Thomas shared his pride and excitement as his teen daughter followed in his footsteps.
"What a time to be alive", he said in a video shared in his Instagram story.
"Tonight, BBC One, 8pm, Waterloo Road, my little brother Adam, my little nephew Teddy and eldest daughter Scarlett take over the TV screen together as a family."
"Talk about a proud moment for the Thomases! Wow. I can't wait for you guys to see it. We watched it together as a family", he added.
Scarlett has acting in her blood as Ryan Thomas also gained recognition on an iconic soap.
The 38-year-old is known for portraying Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street for more than a decade.
But there's another familiar face in the family - Scarlett's mother is none other than Tina O'Brien, another long-standing actress in the ITV soap.
Scarlett is stepping out of her parents' shadows with some help from her uncle Adam who plays her on-screen father, Donte Charles.
Adam, one of the original cast members to return to the program, also welcomed his own son, Teddy, in the Waterloo Road line-up.
He was also reunited with Katie Griffiths who plays his wife Chlo in the Waterloo Road reboot.
While viewers may have been happy to see them again, their joy was cut short by the end of the first episode of the relaunched series.
