Emmerdale’s Priya Sharma star Fiona Wade poses in sultry bathroom shot as she wishes fans Happy New Year

EMMERDALE star Fiona Wade had a message for fans on New Year's Eve as she posted a sultry snap.

The Priya Sharma actress, 43, posed in a revealing outfit in her bathroom as the UK prepared to welcome in 2023.

She wrote: "Wishing everyone the happiest and most blessed 2023!! ✨💛💫.

"Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames - Rumi ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨."

The Londoner, who first rose to soap fame on Grange Hill, has been in Emmerdale since 2011, when she took over the role from Effie Woods.

She was quickly congratulated for the Instagram snap by fans and soap co-stars alike.

Natalie Anderson, who played Alicia Metcalfe, replied: "There. She. Is.!!!💥🔥HNY my beaut. Xx."

Jessie Elland, who plays Chloe Harris in the soap, wrote simply: "So gorgeous! HNY 🥂."

Natalie Jamieson - aka Amy Wyatt - added: "Happy New Year Beautiful girl x x x."

The Sun revealed in October that Fiona was quitting Emmerdale after 12 years as Priya.

The star is hoping to explore other roles after bowing out of the soap and will film her final scenes this year.

One devastated fan tweeted: "Gutted it’s been confirmed that @FionaWade_ is leaving #Emmerdale, hope Priya gets a good exit and not just in a taxi.”
