Geordie Shore Reunion will return after show success – but there’s a twist

GEORDIE Shore: The Reunion Series will be back in 2023 - despite bosses saying the return was a one-off special.

The show, which reunited many of the iconic Newcastle-set series' stars, proved a big hit so MTV have ordered another round of the franchise.

But rather than following the same format as the recent Reunion episodes, the next series will see a format shake-up in store.

A source told The Sun: "MTV bosses were thrilled with how well the reunion series went down, so they want to do another series with the original cast.

"Obviously this time around it won't be a reunion, as they've already come back together, so it will be a bit like the US spin off of Jersey Shore, titled Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

"Rather than going back to the Geordie Shore house, this time cameras will follow the cast in their own lives, as well as on a big holiday together.

"Filming starts in January with the series set to air later in the spring."

The Sun understands that all the show favourites will be back too, including Charlotte Crosby, Chloe Ferry, Holly Hagan, Nathan Henry, Marnie Simpson, Sophie Kasaei, Bethan Kershaw, James Tindale and Jay Gardner.

It is unlikely however that Gaz Beadle and Vicky Pattison will be back, after they failed to sign up for the reunion series.

Asked earlier this year if she would ever be friends with Vicky again, Charlotte told The Sun: ";We were never really friends in the first place, so I am not really sure to be honest.

"I don’t think we were, we were probably just workmates. There wasn’t really a fallout, but she just moved on and we went our separate ways. We haven’t spoken."

She did express sadness, however, over Gaz not wanting to come back.

"It’s a really weird one with me and Gary because, aside from all the romance stuff that went on on the show, we were friends," Charlotte added.

"It’s not like with me and Vicky, me and Gaz were genuine mates.
