Matt Lucas makes final appearance on Great British Bake Off special as fans all say the same thing
GREAT British Bake Off fans are all saying the same thing as Matt Lucas makes his final appearance.
The comedian's final scenes on the hit Channel 4 baking show aired on Christmas Eve.
It comes after he recently announced he was stepping down as co-presenter.
Matt, 48, hosted Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding but said it was no longer possible to continue amid other work commitments.
In a statement at the time, the Little Britain star said: "Farewell Bake Off! It's been a delicious experience and I can't imagine a more fun way of spending my summers.
"But it's become clear to me that I can't present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects.
"So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else.
"I would like to give my warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul, Dame Prue, the crew and, of course, the wonderful bakers for welcoming me into the tent.
"I wish whoever takes over the very best and I can't wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won!"
As Matt's final scenes aired during the Great British Bake Off Christmas special, fans all said the same thing.

They were less than kind to the comedian-turned presenter, with one saying: "I am so glad he’s going #GBBO."
Another said: "Cannot WAIT for Matt to not be on this show."
"I am SOOOO happy that this is the last time we see Matt Lucas ruin Bake Off."
However, other viewers were sad to see Matt depart the tent, as one posted: "Going to miss Matt and his humour, it won't be the same."
While another said: "Farewell to Matt he will be missed."
Meanwhile, fans are 'convinced' they've already worked out who will replace him on next year's series.
