BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty swipes at ‘really stern’ Carol Kirkwood in clash over weather
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty took a swipe at her co-star Carol Kirkwood in a row over the weather on today's show.
Naga, 47 and Charlie Stayt, 60, presented Thursday's edition while Carol, 60, delivered the latest weather reports.
But things took an awkward turn as the presenter opened the weather segment with a dreaded question about snow on Christmas Day.
The BBC star began by saying: "Carol's taking a look at the weather, of course, for us this morning.
"Carol... I think we're never allowed to ask you about snow on Christmas Day. You always kind of have that really stern look whenever I ask."
She then turned to Charlie to back her up asking: "Doesn't she?"

But the weather host was not afraid to snap back at her colleague on air.
Carol reacted with a subtle smirk as she replied: "Naga, I prefer it when you ask me about the snow on Christmas Day on Boxing Day, to be honest, but hey ho!"
Naga looked slightly baffled, as she laughed at Carol's response.
Carol continued: "I'm going to start with that, because of course what constitutes a white Christmas is snow falling somewhere in the 24 hours of Christmas Day."
"At the moment, the highest chance of seeing snow, if you want it, is across the north and north-west of Scotland, but it may well be later in the evening or perhaps overnight."
This isn't the first time Naga's taken a swipe at Carol on the show.
Recently, the weather presenter was left red-faced after her co-star couldn't resist having a cheeky dig about her age.
