X Factor boss says iconic show has ‘not gone away’ teasing shock comeback
THE X Factor could enjoy a comeback, according to ITV boss Kevin Lygo.
The talent show was last screened in 2018 but ITV is warming to a return for the series, which made stars of One Direction and Little Mix.
Speaking this week to the Broadcasting Press Guild, ITV programmes boss Kevin said: “I suspect X Factor has not gone away forever.
"Never say never.
“It was our most successful show for almost 20 years and we’re still working with Simon on a daily basis.”
The TV boss added that the positive reaction to ITV’s Big Brother reboot could help pave the way for a return for the talent show.
