Navid bravely told dating agents he was a virgin and didn't know if he was more sexually attracted to men or women.

He has gone on to date both genders at the agency - eventually asking love interest Izack to go on a romantic break to Cyprus with him.

Navid praised Celebs Go Dating as an "incredible experience", adding he couldn't thank the team behind the scenes enough for "giving me this opportunity".

Despite huge support from fans of the series, the former Apprentice star has been left disheartened by reaction from his friends.

Navid told The Sun: "It has been really tough for me since the show started to air and I showed the true me in terms of who I am and what I like.

"I have friends who come from a traditional background and their parents have told them to block me and not communicate with me ever again.

"It's really sad because they're friends I've had for over six or seven years who have sent me messages like, 'Navid, I can't talk to you anymore, my parents don't want me to speak to you because they've got a traditional mindset'."

"It's been really tough for me. I feel like I don't have any friends left and I'm feeling very lonely.

Unfortunately it's going to be a very lonely Christmas for me with my friends not being around.

It's really sad. There needs to be a barrier broken about being who you really are. There are so many people out there who are too scared to express themselves that because they'll lose friends or family.

"It shows that despite it almost being 2023, some people still have a very traditional mindset.

"I had the courage to be who I am and be true to myself. Unfortunately that resulted in me losing friends. It is what it is and it's better to be who you are than be fake."
