It centred around a special unit, called AC-12, which was tasked with exposing and stomping out police corruption.

Last year viewers watched as the identity of the mysterious 'H' was finally revealed.

Since the show ended they've been hoping for news of a new series - and now Vicky has hinted there could be another instalment.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain, the 39-year-old, who played DI Kate Fleming, said: "I’ve got nothing to tell you because I’ve got nothing to tell you."

However, she said she's up for getting back on set and filming more episodes.

"I speak to the lads all the time and we’d love to, we’re all game," she revealed.

"I think it’s just a case of now – Martin, I think he’s in about nine shows or something. He’s busy [but] I’m sure we’ll get there."

Vicky also praised the show's creator, Jed Mercurio and said he is "so talented and "very giving".

"He’s an incredible writer, he’s so talented and very giving as well in terms of making sure that other people have a shot. He’s about trying to give people opportunity."

GMB host and actor Adil Ray then joked that Jed was watching from home and thinking "I've got an idea".

Vicky quipped back saying: "Don't put it out there!"

McClure recently announced on Instagram that her Nana Jean has passed away.

Sharing a snap of her, actress Vicky wrote: "Sweet dreams Nana Jean 🤍🕊️

"She gave nothing but love, the best hugs, great cuppas, mint humbugs and all the giggles!

"I'll miss you but I have nothing but happy memories in my heart.

"'Enjoy Yourself, it's Later than you think' was one of her favorite songs from her and what a great message. Love you Nana xxx
