SIMON Cowell has left fans of the Royal Variety Performance in hysterics after an epic on-stage blunder.
Viewers took to Twitter to say they were cringing after the Britain's Got Talent judge broke a part of the show set.
Simon, 63, was invited onto the Royal Variety Performance to introduce his golden buzzer act Axel Blake.
He appeared at the end of Nile Roger's performance alongside Lee Mack and Sam Ryder, pressing the buzzer.
However, things didn't quite go to plan when Simon caused chaos as he broke off the golden buzzer from its stand.
After pretending to hit the button, it fell off in his hand, leaving him holding it up in the air.

The music mogul shrugged in the direction of host Lee and laughed awkwardly, as fans at home took to Twitter.
"Simon Cowell with one job. F**ked it," one wrote, another chimed in: "Oh Simon Cowell breaking the golden buzzer."
Alongside laughing emojis, a third said: "You had one job, Simon."
It comes after Royal Variety viewers were shocked by Ellie Goulding's appearance, claiming they didn't recognise her.

Many fans took to social media during the ITV1 broadcast of the annual extravaganza to comment on Ellie's look.
The Love Me Like You Do singer, 35, took to the stage to perform a rendition of the Eva Cassidy classic, Fields of Gold.
And while her goosebump-inducing version got a thumbs up from viewers, they couldn't believe how different the star looked.
"Is that Ellie Goulding?! WTF has she done to her lips?" one wrote on Twitter during her performance.
A second added: "Nah, that’s never Ellie Goulding," and a third chipped in: "Ellie Goulding’s had a bit of work done."
But despite thinking the singer has undergone quite the transformation - her usual blonde locks were dyed brunette too - they praised her vocals.
"Stunning" and "class" were just two of the adjectives thrown around on the social media platform.
