Thanking Channel 4 for the opportunity of becoming household names, the couple told fans they felt the need to see what else "God has in store for us".

The pair said: "We've had so much fun with you all tuning in at home & the hard-working Gogglebox crews but it's time to put down the remote and see what God has in store for us."

Fans were left devastated with one tweeting: "We'll miss you both."

A second wrote: " Nah this ain't the news I wanted to hear. Hope 2023 brings you both more blessings."

Another added: "Nooooooo. Say it ain't so. Don't leave us."

The couple shot to fame in 2018 when they joined the Channel 4 show for its 11th series.

They were originally joined by Mica's two daughters Sachelle and Shuggy, but the girls decided to opt out of more recent series.

Marcus and hairstylist Mica had been taking time out from their TV work lately - and just last week were seen on a party cruise.

The hilarious husband and wife duo flew to Miami, where they boarded the boat which took them to Jamaica while they watched top reggae artists perform at sea.

The pair were joined on the trip by their rarely-seen youngest son, Yash, who occasionally appears on the show with them.
