BBC BREAKFAST viewers all have the same complaint about the show's coverage of Freddie Flintoff's accident.

The Top Gear host, 45, was airlifted to hospital after a terrifying crash while filming the programme.

Freddie and the motoring show's crew were at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey when the accident occurred.

He was behind the wheel of a car, reviewing its performance while cameras were rolling.

A spokesman for the BBC confirmed the host had been injured in the crash and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Following The Sun breaking the shocking story, other media outlets including BBC Breakfast have covered the crash.

Presenters Jon Kay and Sally Nugent informed viewers of the news.

However, those who tuned into the flagship Beeb programme weren't happy.

They complained the show dedicated too much time to the story, as they felt other stories were more deserving of the time.

"FFS Why the intensive coverage of Freddie Flintoff? #bbcbreakfast," fumed one viewer.

Another said: "It wasn't high speed and it's not life threatening injuries.... but Freddie Flintoff crash is news headlines #BBCBreakfast."

"Can’t believe so much coverage of the Freddie Flintoff accident, especially as there is no information about the incident or injuries sustained. #BBCBreakfast," said a third.

While a fourth posted: "A major incident is declared in Shetland yesterday and doesn’t even make the headlines. If it was anywhere in England they’d be all over it. BBC do have time to go through the history of accidents on Top Gear though."

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
