EastEnders Christmas engagement surprise to rock Walford
'TIS the season to be merry in Albert Square, despite inescapable health battles.
One EastEnders couple decide to have a Christmas to remember by getting engaged.
Recent scenes have given the pair a fright as they've realised they could be spending their last ever festive season together.
As viewers may know, Lola Pearce (portrayed by departing actress Danielle Harold) was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour earlier this year.
She has since been living life to the fullest alongside her nearest and dearest, including her daughter Lexi and partner Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick).
In upcoming scenes of the London-based drama, the mechanic is ready to make his commitment to Lola official by popping the question.

As mentioned above, Lola was told she was suffering from a brain tumour after weeks of dizzy spells and migraines.
The health diagnosis is part of a hard-hitting exit storyline for Danielle Harold.
Lola went through brain surgery in an attempt to get rid of the tumour.
However, she and her loved ones were devastated to find out from doctors that nothing could be done.
Determined to help her, Ben Mitchell tried to look for an alternative treatment to no avail and Lola had to come to terms with the fact she may be living her last few months.
But she refuses to bow out without a fight.
How will her last weeks in Walford play out?
