Strictly Come Dancing 2022 RECAP — Fans devastated as celeb favourite brutally dumped in last dance-off ahead of final

STRICTLY fans were left devastated as series favourite Will Mellor was dumped in the last dance-off before next week's final.

returned on Sunday, having been shifted from its usual slot due to the England v France quarter-final match.

And on Monday, an emotional Will Mellor took on in an explosive dance-off but failed to overcome the challenge, as three of the four judges chose to save popstar Fleur.

Fans were heartbroken to see Will go, as many took to social media to hail the soap star.

One user wrote: "Absolutely gutted my favourites @Mellor76 and @have been voted out in the bbcstrictly #Strictly Semi Final. I've enjoyed their fun Dancing partnership and what a lovely bond they have off the dancefloor too."

    StrictlyCome Dancing will air live tonight (Sunday, December 10) at 7.15pm on BBC One.

    The results show will follow on Monday, December 11.

    TV presenter George Webster from Leeds is the sixth and final celebrity confirmed for the Christmas special.

    The 22-year-old recently made history when he became the first presenter on CBeebies with Down Syndrome.

    The Mencap ambassador, who will be paired with pro Amy Dowden. said: “I love Strictly and have watched it every year.

    “I’ve always dreamed of being on the show one year and I’m so excited to be on this year’s Christmas Special!

    “To be partnered with Amy is such an honour, we get on so well, she’s so lovely and an amazing dancer. Bring on the glitter and everything else. I can’t wait to perform on the Strictly dancefloor.”

  • Will Mellor in dreamland ahead of Semi-final

    Will Mellor took to Twitter to express his excitement about reaching the Strictly Come Dancing Semi-final.

    He reacted to a clip of him finding out he was through by tweeting: “Still can’t get my head around it!”

    Will stunned the judges on Friday night, topping the leaderboard alongside Helen Skelton.

  • Only Anton Du Beke chose to save Kym Marsh

    After both couples had performed a second time during the dance-off last week the judges delivered their verdicts, with only Anton Du Beke voting to save Marsh.

    He said: “As you’d expect at this time of the competition, the quality of the dance-off was incredible.

    “I thought both couples danced brilliantly, but I felt one couple raised their game with a freedom which they didn’t have on Friday night.

    “And because of that I am going to save Kym and Graziano.”
