First look at Coronation Street and Downton Abbey stars in new ITV comedy The Family Pie
ITV has revealed the first look from the upcoming comedy Family Pie, which features actors from Coronation Street and Downton Abbey.
The series will be a comedic exploration of one of life’s big milestones, via four sisters who have lost their parents and are packing up the family home to sell.
Coronation Street fans will recognise Emma Brooker star, Alexandra Mardell, 29 in the new series as she stars alongside, Downton Abbey's Clare Calbraith, 48.
Alexandra played Emma Brooker in the popular ITV soap, Coronation Street. For her portrayal of the role, she was longlisted for Best Newcomer at the 2018 Inside Soap Awards.
Clare played Jane Moorsum from 2011 in the BBC drama series, Downton Abbey.
The series will also star Amanda Abbington (Sherlock, Mr Selfridge), Claire Keelan (Nathan Barley, No Heroics), as the sisters with Kieran O'Brien, Richard Pepple and James Nelson-Joyce.

The story revolves around four sisters who are grieving their parents’ deaths and are the focus of this 2023 comedy. As they leave their house, they will encounter a variety of difficulties but not without a dose of humor.
These four sisters are getting ready to sell the family house after their parents’ deaths. But even amid the sadness, their chaotic lives continue and that is what is shown in The New Family Pile series, adding relatable humor as the series progresses.
The six-episode series will run a time of approximately 30 minutes for each episode.
ITV said: “The series will be a comedic exploration of one of life’s big milestones, via four sisters who have lost their parents and are packing up the family home to sell.

The Family Pile will start on ITV1 in January 2023 with the full series available to watch online on ITVX following the first episode. An exact release date is to be announced.
The series, is filmed entirely in the Liverpool City Region with the support of Liverpool Film Office's production Fund.
