Coronation Street and Emmerdale both pulled from air tonight – here’s how to catch up

THERE has been ANOTHER soap schedule shake-up resulting in both Emmerdale and Coronation Street being cancelled tonight.

As a result of the 2022 World Cup, the soap schedules have been severely disrupted with many episodes airing outside of their regular timeslots.

Cain and Matty have been central to Emmerdale

Tonight ITV has been forced to cancel both of it’s flagship soaps with neither of them airing tonight.

It comes after ITV also pulled last night’s edition of Emmerdale from the schedules, resulting in a second soap-free night.

All episodes of the soap are currently available to catch-up on ITVX, with the streaming service even releasing episodes in advance to combat the major disruption created by the football tournament.

Coronation Street aired earlier this week from Sunday-Wednesday in a series of unconventional timeslots, with Emmerdale joining suit on every day except Monday.

Over the last two weeks both BBC iPlayer and ITVX have dropped that week’s episodes of the soaps in advance of their usual TV airing times.

Running from November 20 to December 8, the football fixtures will air on both ITV and the BBC – with the soap schedules in chaos because of it.

Typically, ITV broadcasts the equivalent of six episodes per soap each week.

Emmerdale airs Monday-Friday at 7:30pm with Thursday’s edition being an hour-long affair.

Coronation Street is broadcast as three 60 minute episodes a week, airing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm.
