Sky confirms future of hugely popular show after two seasons on screen
SKY have confirmed the future of one of their hugely popular shows - and fans will be happy.
The broadcaster has confirmed that Gangs of London will be back for a third series.
Taking to social media, they shared the news with delighted fans.
"News just in, gangsters... #GangsOfLondon series 3 is confirmed," they said.
A short teaser video accompanied the tweet which showed three bullet holes - each representing a series.
The news has excited fans as one said: "One of the best shows in years."
"Amazing news," said a second viewer.
While a third said: "We are waiting for it."
Plot details for the third series have not yet been revealed and fans might be waiting a while until it returns to screens.
Previously speaking about a potential third series, the show's director Corin Hardy said it was "set up" for another run.
"It's one hundred percent set up for a third season," she said.
"I think you always plan to tell your story and hope that you're lucky enough to continue it but ultimately it's down to how it gets received."
The show sees struggles between rival gangs and other criminal organisations in present-day London.
