Coronation Street surrogacy couple Mike and Esther hiding horrifying secret as Paul attacks him

THERE seems to be trouble brewing on the cobbles as Summer's surrogacy storyline looks set to take a turn in Coronation Street.

Fans of the ITV1 soap have seen Summer Spellman, played by Harriet Bibby, and boyfriend Aaron, played by James Craven, come to an agreement with couple Esther and Mike to give them their baby in exchange for cash for Aaron's dad's rehab treatment.

Esther and Mike were overjoyed to discover that Summer and Aaron had agreed to give up their baby to them but found themselves feeling uneasy after discovering she had not told her guardian, and the couple's former friend, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank).

However, in true soap fashion it does not look like Summer has managed to keep her plan hidden for too long.

The cast were spotted out filming new scenes for the show where it looks like the drama is yet to reach its peak.

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) heads off to have a word with Mike but just exactly what answers is he looking for?

Prospective father Mike appears as though he could be hiding something from the young couple but exactly what could it be?

As Paul and Mike row, things quickly heat up and Todd Grimshaw is forced to step in between the pair.

However, it seems as though the damage is already done as Todd steps in just too late after Paul takes a swing at Mike and leaves him on the ground unconscious.

It remains to be seen if Paul has taken it too far and if Mike is really keeping quiet about something.
