THIS Morning's psychic alpaca has delivered its verdict on who will win England's clash with Iran - and it's not good news.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield asked the South American mammal for its thoughts on today's World Cup clash.

Alfie the alpaca appeared on the show live from Fairytale Farm in Oxfordshire, alongside his owner Nick Laister.

And he delivered the crushing verdict that England will lose their first group game - by a huge margin.

When presented with a feeding station bearing an England flag and another with an Iranian one, Alfie bolted for Iran.

Phillip, 60, looked on in horror as the alpaca dipped his head repeatedly into the bucket.

He gasped: "Oh don't you dare. He's gone in. What is that, 2-0? 3-0?"

Holly, 41, added grimly: "Things aren't looking good for England."

Phillip replied: "Well, if you believe an alpaca."

His co-host cut in, saying: "Which currently we do. We have no reason not to."

The alpaca's psychic abilities were based on quite dubious evidence, with famer Nick telling the pair: "He's always seemed to know a little too much."

He added: "We're fairly sure he knows what he's doing. We have two feeding stations and we put food into both of them."

As the predicting process began, he added: "I'll get out of the way, I don't want to put him off. This is all very scientific."

Alfie later predicted that Wales would also lose their first game to the USA.

Phillip sighed: "What a great day this is going to be. That's a great way to start the show. We'll be back tomorrow, bye-bye now."
