It’s frustrating when people say mum was faking it in I’m a Celeb – she’s got a condition, says Skylar McKeith

GILLIAN McKeith’s daughter Skylar has hit back at claims the TV presenter faked illness during her time in the I’m a Celebrity jungle.

The controversial campmate, 63, starred in the 2010 series and recently finished filming the All Stars edition, set to air next year.

Gillian caused a stir during her first time on the show

You Are What You Eat star Gillian caused a stir during her first time on the show.

She fainted twice during trials but was called out over her “theatrics” after viewers spotted her pulling down her top while supposedly unconscious.

But Skylar, 28, has slammed these claims and revealed why they’re particularly hurtful for the family.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun she said: “It’s very frustrating because she does actually have a medical condition where she can faint and she’s had that since she was a young child.

Gillian recently spoke to us about the lengths she went to in order to avoid the Bushtuker Trials.

Able to see the funny side looking back, Gillian , who was 51 when she was in the jungle, explained with a laugh: “I tried everything to get out of these trials.

“I tried telling them I was pregnant and they didn’t believe me. I said, ‘I do actually believe I am pregnant and we really must take this seriously.'”
