Line of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar opens up about potential Ted Hastings spin off series
LINE of Duty's Adrian Dunbar has opened up about a potential Ted Hastings spin off series.
It's been over a year since Line of Duty's sixth season aired its explosive finale and it still hasn't been confirmed whether AC-12 will be reuniting.
But now, Adrian Dunbar has teased that he would happily return to the role of the AC-12 superintendent for a Line of Duty spin-off, adding that he's sure it would be "interesting".
The actor said: "A spin-off? Yes, of course! You'll always be in the market for considering whatever people throw at you.
He added that it would be interesting and that his answer to that would be yes.
The actor went on to say that fans of the show are "kind of gunning for it" and that he is sure the "public want it", adding the story can continue.

The star concluded: "In terms of the story finishing, I think it was a really interesting ending."
This comes after Adrian recently appeared on ITV Lorraine earlier this week, where he addressed a potential seventh series.
The actor revealed: “Yes, there is every possibility. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that we'll hear something at some point," he told her.
"We all want to get back together again. We'd love to go back to Belfast again. The last time we did it it was in lockdown, so we were all in bubbles. We couldn't get out… everything was shut. So we'd like to get back to Belfast for a bit of fun.

"I was in Dublin recently and a couple of people said it was amazing the way the series took off. Fellas used to leave the pub early to get home to watch it.”
The actor joined the cast of Line of Duty when it first launched in 2012, starring alongside Martin Compston as DS Steve Arnott and Vicky McClure as DC Kate Fleming.
Dunbar stars as Superintendent Ted Hastings, who heads up Anti-Corruption Unit 12 and is responsible for uncovering corruption within the Central Police Force.
