OWEN Warner’s mum Polly has admitted that she normally speaks to her son three times a day and likes to keep track of where he is when he is not filming for Hollyoaks.
Mum-of-three Polly Warner revealed that his time on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is the longest they have been apart and described how the pair had an “emotional” goodbye.
Polly landed at Brisbane Airport and has checked into the five-star JW Marriott hotel on the Gold Coast ahead of the final this month.
Asked if she is missing her son, Polly said: “Oh my God, like you wouldn’t believe. I talk to him three times a day.
“He lives in Liverpool so he’s away from me but this has been really, really weird. When I said goodbye to him it was quite emotional just knowing that… in fact he FaceTimed me on the plane on the way to Australia.”
She added: “It’s the longest we’ve been apart. It is really difficult because I like to know what he’s doing, he has a very different life to my other boys so I like to know where he is and that he’s safe. “

“Initially, when the show was a possibility, the boys were like: ‘Yes go for it!’ Tim and I were like: ‘Do you think it’s the right thing?’
“They’re wild and they love seeing him there! They’re doing his social media and Instagram Lives - they’re having a great time.”
Meanwhile Polly described how her son is not “daft” and claimed that he is not playing up to the cameras.
She said: “Anything he’s said has made sense, hasn’t it? When he said ‘whereabouts' about Scarlette on A Place In The Sun, why would he have ever seen that show?
“He’s at work during the day and even if he was at home ,he probably wouldn’t put the TV on because he plays music. He is being himself, totally himself.”

It comes as fans have accused radio legend Chris Moyles, 48, of having fun at the Romeo Nightingale actor's expense after convincing him that he is a three-times British champion dancer.
But Polly said: “I wouldn’t have called Owen gullible to be honest but he doesn’t know anybody in there so he’s going to take everything someone says on face value straight away but I don’t think it’ll take much for him to rumble him really – he’s not that daft.”

Commenting on showing off his toned physique in the waterfall shower, Polly joked: “He does like taking his top off but if you work hard on your body and your physique then why not?
“Some of my friends have made comments and said I shouldn’t really look at him being my son… it is what it is!”
