GINA GOES DOWN UNDER

I’m A Celeb’s Matt Hancock’s girlfriend Gina lands in Australia and says he’s ‘made of tough stuff’

MATT Hancock’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo landed in Australia to be reunited with the MP when he leaves the I’m A Celebrity camp and said he was “made of tough stuff”.

Former aide Gina, 45, was dressed in a chic black jumpsuit as she arrived at Brisbane Airport after a 24-hour journey in business class from London.

The mother-of-three, who is the Tory MP’s former aide, was met by ITV staff and told The Sun: “It would be difficult not to be impressed, he has done really well.”

On Matt’s run of six gruelling trials, she said: “He’s made of tough stuff. I think it’s great everybody is having a bit of a go.

“I think they all seem to be getting on OK.” And asked if she had missed her man, Gina added: “Obviously yes I have.”

Matt has been in Australia since November 1 as he was required to isolate for a week before joining camp, so has been away from Gina for two weeks already.

He quarantined at a £2m luxury villa which had an idyllic view of the beach, a private pool, five bedrooms, and four bathrooms.

Gina is the third family member to arrive in support of one of this year’s campmates.

Earlier, Chris Moyles’ girlfriend Tiffany Austin landed, followed by Charlene White’s sister Carina.

ITV’s budget covers the cost of two business class seats for one family member and a companion to jet to Australia, before they are checked into the five star JW Marriott hotel in Surfers Paradise.

Gina flew in on a Singapore Airlines flight, with her seat worth as much as £11,000.

It comes after Hancock opened up in camp on falling in love with the gorgeous brunette.

The Sun exposed their affair last year after they were caught breaching social distancing rules in a passionate clinch in his ministerial office.

The smooch marked the end of Matt's 15-year marriage to ex-wife Martha, with whom he shares his three children.

The former health secretary said in camp: “It was really tough. I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned and it's no excuse, but I fell in love, right? That also had a lot of other consequences, obviously.”

His fellow campmate Babatunde Aleshe, 34, replied: “You didn't just ‘fall in love’ you were grabbing booty bruv!”
