GETHIN Jones was forced to step in on Morning Live after one guest swore during an unexpected rant on the popular programme.
BBC presenter Gethin had to make the apology after the shocking comment.
Appearing on the show was Dr Oscar Duke and he had to be scolded by the Welsh presenter live on air over his language.
Gethin's co-host, sporting star turned TV personality Sam Quek said: "Doctor Oscar, you're going to talk us through some of the health headlines that we've seen this week."
Oscar got into his segment, saying: To sort fact from fiction. So first up, junk food is as harmful as cigarettes... I mean that's quite shocking."
Eventually, Gethin moved the show on with a snappy link, asking Oscar: "You like a doughnut for your travel snack but we know you go home and just like Gwen from Gavin and Stacey, you love an omelette, don't you?"

Oscar replied in a faux Welsh accent, a nod to the iconic BBC series, admitting: "Yes, I'll tell you for why."
He continued: "I think Gregg Wallace and all our friends at MasterChef, they'd be pretty p*****d off if I came over and -"
After Oscar dropped the huge error, Gethin had to cut him off saying: "Ooh, you can't say that.
"Apologies for that language, he's getting carried away!"

Clearly concerned by Oscar's remarks, the presenter attempted to take over, adding: "They would be a bit annoyed with you, I think is what you were trying to say, carry on."
After eventually allowing Oscar to finish his point, a clearly rattled Gethin quipped: "In two years of Morning Live this is the most nervous I've ever been doing an item."
He then took a savage swipe, adding: "Thank you, Doctor Oscar, we'll let you go and wash your mouth out now."
Social media was set alight over the incident with one person writing: "Love the way he was totally non-plussed that he swore, who cares! #MorningLive."
Another claimed: "They say the word p***** on American tv all the time what’s the big deal #MorningLive."

A third wrote: "I love it when people accidentally swear on daytime tv like what just happened on #MorningLive."
Another fan worried for Oscar's future at the broadcaster: "He was told off by Gethin Jones. I guess Auntie Beeb will sack him now."
Morning Live airs at 9:15am weekdays on BBC One.
