Mastermind contestant swipes ‘at least I look cute’ after ‘forgetting everything’ in nightmare round
ONE contestant on the latest edition of Mastermind had a pop at their own performance following a disastrous appearance.
Clive Myrie was on hosting duties for the BBC Two quiz favourite which sees hopefuls answer a series of questions on a specialist subject followed by a round of general knowledge in order to become the champion.
One budding quiz hopeful who took to the hot seat on the show was Quinn Holmes, a sales assistant.
Quinn chose the popular BBC TV series Killing Eve as her specialist subject in hopes that it would bag her the crown.
They got off to a promising start correctly answering two questions on the show near the beginning but it was all down hill from there.
Quinn struggled enormously and failed to answer any more questions correctly until one at the very end taking her total on her specialist subject to an abysmal three.

With four passes, Quinn also struggled to attempt to guess some of the answers correctly suggesting maybe it should not have been her chosen specialism after all.
Taking to Twitter after the dismal performance, Quinn quipped: "I may have forgotten pretty much everything I know when I got sat in the chair but at least I looked cute doing it."
One fan replied to Quinn in an effort to offer up some support, saying: "And you went for it. Well done. I'd like to go on but I'd be a jibbering wreck within the first minute."
A second added: "You looked awesome - was rooting for you. Film & TV can be cruel subjects…"

As a third echoed: "We absolutely loved your look in my house, great makeup, gorgeous outfit."
Later in the programme, Quinn managed to bring the poor first round back to life by gaining a number of correct answers in the general knowledge round.
This achievement allowed her to finish in third place with 11 points, just one point ahead of the last placed contestant.
It was Ben who gained the most points with 25 and thus advancing through to the semi-final round.
