TEEN mum Amelia Spencer has fully embraced her new responsibilities after giving birth to daughter Esther.

However, Emmerdale fans had something to say about the baby's size during last night's instalment of the ITV soap.

Viewers pointed out the blunder as Amelia (played by Daisy Campbell) brought Esther home from the hospital.

The newborn was seen in her car seat, carried by a proud Dan Spencer (Liam Fox).

But fans of the Yorkshire-based drama were startled by her size as she's supposed to only be a few weeks old.

After bringing Esther home, Amelia paid Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) a visit with her baby wrapped up in a sling.

Once again, some eagle-eyed viewers believed baby Esther looked significantly different than in her previous scene.

"That baby looks about 4 months old already!", one viewer first pointed out on social media.

"The baby has shrunk from 6 month size to doll size", another penned while a third agreed: "Amelia's baby has shrunk a lot in 5 minutes."

"That baby looks different from the first one", another commented.

"That baby keeps changing size", a fourth fan echoed.

Many were then convinced Amelia was actually holding a doll instead of a real baby and had plenty to suggest to soap bosses.

"Why don't soaps use reborn dolls when a character has had a baby, look more realistic than a kiddies doll", one of them questioned.

Another fumed: "That is the worst fake baby they didn't even try' and one fan jumped in: "Jiggling that 'baby' when it's obviously a doll."

"Plastic Baby Klaxon!", another wrote.

One final fan added: "Spot the obvious, fake baby klaxon."

Amelia and Esther were welcomed back in the Dales by an eager Lydia and Sam Dingle who have been taking their roles as grandparents seriously.

But one resident was less than happy to see Esther arrive in the eponymous village, weeks after her premature birth amid an explosive anniversary week - Samson Dingle.

The lad has vowed to not let his own daughter ruin his plans for the future and spoilers confirmed he would take action in an attempt to get rid of her.
