I'M A Celebrity fans all had the same complaint tonight as Matt Hancock was buried alive in his most gruelling Bushtucker Trial yet.

This evening viewers watched in horror as the MP, 44, took part in his SIXTH trial - which this time saw him encased in a coffin-sized container filled with snakes.

The former Health Secretary was given just 11 minutes to unlock 11 stars, scrabbling around in near darkness for keys, and mamanged to get seven.

Matt was also far from alone, with snakes slithering through holes in the sides of his underground home.

But the shocking trial made for uneasy watching for I'm A Celeb viewers at home.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to complain at the "inhumane" challenge to win food.

More on Matt Hancock

One viewer tweeted: "I get the need to punish Matt Hancock, but this is going too far now #ImACelebrity."

While another said: "This is just cruel #ImACelebrity but fair play again to Matt."

This fan commented: "Watching #ImACelebrity and realised that being buried alive is my worst nightmare. Not a fan of Matt Hancock but no idea how he’s managed to be in there 😳"

While another vented: "I'm A Celebrity is starting to be inhumane with these trials now."

Matt has been nominated for every trial since he joined the jungle late, alongside comedian Seann Walsh.

Some viewers have complained about his treatment with one calling it "glorified bullying".

Matt has often spoken about his fear of snakes and one flung itself at him during last night's trial.

Last night Matt got a rare bit of positive news, having been chosen as the camp leader.
