Love Island’s Liam breaks silence on split with Millie – but says she’s ‘wife material’ and they may rekindle romance
LOVE Island's Liam Reardon has opened up about his split with Millie Court – but hints he still has feelings for his ex.
The 2021 winner of the ITV2 series split with Millie in July this year after less than a year of dating, and has since admitted he's found it difficult to move on from the pair who 'drifted apart' due to work commitments.
While Millie has been nursing her broken heart with a string of girls' trips and partying with fellow Islanders, Liam has now signed up to get back on the romance saddle by going on the new series of Celebs Go Dating.
He'll be joined by the likes of Sinitta, Towie star Pete Wicks, Tinder Swindler victim Cecilie Fjellhøy and Love Island star Laura Anderson.
The move, he says, has been supported by Millie as she makes her own career moves going forward, but he can't help but feel whoever he meets has a lot to live up to with her.
Speaking to new! magazine, he said: "The break-up hurt both of us. Love Island has been a crazy whirlwind. Maybe I’ve gone off track a little bit and wanted to steer myself back on track. It probably did knock my confidence, especially this past year. I think I’m a lot more confident in myself now and I’m getting back to the old way I was."
Admitting it was his actions that instigated the break-up, Liam calls Millie an "amazing girl" and added: "Maybe one day in the future, we’ll rekindle. But for now, I just need to do my own thing and be on my own path.

"I definitely haven’t ruled it out because I know her morals and what she has, and that is something I would want someone, in a wife. I need to concentrate on myself and if it’s meant to be, we’ll find our way back to each other."
Following on from their split, Millie has put the pair's £1million Essex home up for sale in order to move on.
Celebs Go Dating returns to E4 every weeknight from Monday, November 28th at 10pm.
