I’m A Celeb fans slam Matt Hancock in Camp Leader battle as he picks Charlene White as deputy
I'M A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans have slammed Matt Hancock in the Camp Leader battle for his choice of deputy.
Viewers were left furious that the former Health Secretary picked Loose Women star Charlene White - as they suggested he'd only done it to "win her over".
MP Matt, 44, was given a grilling by Charlene, 42, earlier this week over how he handled the coronavirus pandemic in parliament.
He was grilled over his secret affair with his closest aide Gina Coladangelo - as the TV presenter opened up about losing her aunt to Covid-19 during the height of the lockdown guidance.
The pair were seen sharing an emotional hug earlier this week after Matt apologised to his celebrity campmates over his actions.
Matt and Charlene looked to be forming a friendship after he told her he was "just looking for a bit of forgiveness" for his "big mistake".

Matt was seen picking Charlene as his deputy in the Camp Leader challenge, going head-to-head with Mike Tindall and Sue Cleaver.
Fans were left furious at the decision, as they were certain he picked Charlene in order to "win her over" after their Covid row.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote alongside suspicious emojis: "Did Matt really pick sourpuss Charlene as a deputy? Hmmm."
Another chimed in: "Matt is just trying to win Charlene over."
A third added: "Why else would Matt pick Charlene?"
It comes after we exclusively revealed how Matt was rushed to see a medic after he was stung by a venomous scorpion in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp.
Members of the ITV crew managed to find the scorpion and safely remove it from the camp before it made its way to the other celebrities, The Sun can reveal.
A TV insider said: “Matt was in agony and described how it was twice as painful as a bee sting. Luckily Matt is absolutely fine but it was still a nasty sting."
“These scorpions are seen throughout the jungle and the celebrities have been warned to keep an eye out to avoid painful stings.”
Elsewhere, his fellow campmate Babatunde Aléshé, 36, asked Matt how he was feeling following the gruesome sting when it was announced the MP would be taking on another trial.
