Countdown’s Rachel Riley left blushing as she’s forced to spell out VERY cheeky word

COUNTDOWN’S Rachel Riley was left blushing as she was forced to spell out a VERY cheeky word.

The Channel 4 show has featured rude words on a number of occasions during its 40 year run.

A cheeky word came up on today’s Countdown

Rachel Riley blushed as she had to spell out bonking

Today’s show threw up another moment, when contestant Joe came up with a seven letter word during one of the rounds.

Guest host Richard Coles asked what it was and he replied: “Bonking”.

Susie Dent said it was a correct word and added: “It’s in the dictionary, there’s lots of different meanings though.

“You can bonk someone on the head, or if you’re a cyclist and you hit the point of exhaustion – which I’ve done often – you bonk as well.”

Rachel was then seen stood in front of the Countdown board with bonking spelled out.

The 36-year-old, who wore a close fitting stripy dress, looked a little embarrassed as she clasped her hands in front of her and gave a little smile.

It wasn’t the only potential rude word to come up on the programme, as during another round, a viewer spotted a five letter word that would have raised a snigger too.

As Rachel laid out the first letters, P,N,I,E, and S, the viewer shared a screenshot and tweeted: “I’ve got a five letter word #countdown.”

On Thursday’s show, viewers were left distracted by Rachel’s colourful, figure-hugging dress.

One Countdown viewer couldn’t help but think that the pattern and colours reminded them of a popular video game.

Taking to Twitter, they shared a screenshot of Rachel alongside a snap of the game and wrote: “Pokémon fan, @RachelRileyRR #countdown.”
