Emmerdale spoilers: David Metcalfe puts baby Harry in hospital as he betrays Victoria Sugden

DAVID Metcalfe is left with serious guilt in Emmerdale after he betrays girlfriend Victoria.

They have had a rather fraught relationship as of late and it does not look like things are about to get any better for David and Victoria in the ITV soap.

After David’s delivery business scheme begins to go wrong, he claims that it was Victoria who was driving in order to spare him points on his license in order for him to carry on with his plans.

Doing so behind Victoria’s back, in upcoming scenes viewers will see David shuffling through the post in his shop when he comes across a letter.

The letter is addressed to Victoria and is from the Police ticketing office.

The shopkeeper is left overcome with guilt as he reads the letter notifying Victoria of the police fixed penalty notice.

Soon, Victoria and Jacob arrive and announce that they want to support David and his new business venture as David keeps the ltter hidden away from view.

Later as David looks after the children, he opens the show and takes his eye off the kids and it isn’t long until Harry finds himself injured in a horror accident.

Realising he has messed up, David panics as he takes little Harry to the hospital to be checked over.

In a bid to get to her poorly son, a worried Victoria rushes to Harry and in doing so drives through some temporary traffic lights and there is a waiting police car nearby.

As a result of her error, Victoria accepts a fine and to points on her license so that she can shift her focus back to her son and get to him as quickly as possible.

She rushes through the hospital to find Harry being watched over by a concerned looking David.

The mother of one is left furious upon realising that David opened the shop and left Harry unattended.

David is then left aghast at discovering Victoria received six points on her license on her way to be with Harry and fears telling her the whole truth.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV.
