Emmerdale spoilers: Victoria Sugden loses everything as David Metcalfe sets her up for a crime

VICTORIA Sugden has given nothing but support, both emotional and financial, to David Metcalfe.

But the Emmerdale shop owner takes advantage of her giving nature next week, framing her for a crime he committed.

David (played by Matthew Wolfenden) faced serious financial issues following the Covid pandemic and his business was in jeopardy.

And after trying to file a fraudulent insurance claim following a car collision with Nicola King, David turned to Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) for help.

Unfortunately, this has apparently convinced him he could lean on her for anything – even if it means causing her trouble.

Coming up on ITV, David shuffles through the post in his shop and comes across a letter addressed to his other half from the Police ticketing office.

He feels wretched after reading the notice, deciding to hide his shame and the FPN from Victoria.

To make matters worse, Jacob Gallagher and Victoria both enter and reveal their plans to support him with his delivery scheme.

David is overwhelmed and this soon leads to horrific consequences when Victoria’s son Harry is injured in his care.

While David is awash with self-hatred, Victoria rushes to Harry, driving through temporary traffic lights.

She’s then stopped by a waiting police and with her main goal being getting to Harry’s side, she quickly concedes to a fine and points on her licence.

Victoria rushes through the hospital to find a lethargic Harry being watched over by a concerned David.

He then reveals he’d opened his shop, leaving the children unsupervised and Victoria is fuming.

How will David tell her she’s received six points on her licence?

While their romance lasts, it may soon be thrown on the rocks as David continuously puts Victoria in a difficult position.

He most notably asked her to take the blame for a ticket he received, knowing he could lose his licence.

David was desperate to have Victoria take the fall as he’s planning to make a delivery service available for his shop, meaning he would need his licence.

Could it soon be the end of the line for the couple?
