Strictly’s Tyler West drips with sweat and collapses on the floor after gruelling rehearsals
STRICTLY Come Dancing has truly taken it out of Tyler West, with the radio DJ sharing videos of him dripping with sweat by 10am.
The 26-year-old presenter is being put through his paces by pro partner Dianne Buswell, with his upcoming routine seemingly requiring literal blood, sweat and tears from him for the BBC series.
The sweat part in particular he's taking very seriously, and by 10am on Tuesday, while viewers at home would've likely only been in work an hour, Tyler was drenched in sweat in the rehearsal studio.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Tyler was literally dripping as he stared unimpressed at the camera.
"Ain't no joke," he said. "Dance life's not no joke. LOOK. I'm sixteen stone, that's why [I'm so sweaty]!"
It was later revealed that he and Dianne will be dancing a Paso Doble this weekend to Unstoppable by E.S. Posthumus.
The pair have to put their best foot forward on the dancefloor this week after they came under fire by viewers who believed the judges appeared to favour the couple during their scoring.
While it wasn't Tyler's best performance, he still managed to score 29 points, even though the judges picked up on some mistakes.
Head judge Shirley Ballas said there were "too many mistakes, too much incorrect footwork, you can forgive a little bit...collapsed in the frame, I've seen it better, I've seen you better."
This was echoed by Anton Du Beke who added: "The thing that bothered me the most was the top line. It's not bad just a bit wonky."
Tyler is clearly feeling the pressure of the show, later sharing a video from his KISS radio show where he asked actor Idris Elba for advice on how to survive the dance floor.
His response?
"It's in the eyes, and the face. Even if you make a mistake, don't ever show it," the actor told Tyler. "In fact, you've got to bring it through."
Let's see if he makes use of that on the dancefloor come Saturday.
Tyler isn't the only one struggling with the intense schedule, as Will Mellor has also admitted things have got 'emotional' in rehearsals as he prepares his routines.
Strictly Come Dancing continues at 7pm on BBC One.
