EastEnders spoilers: Sam Mitchell in shock scheme to win over her son
AFTER leaving her son Ricky in Jack Branning's care for six years, Sam Mitchell is adamant on repairing their broken bond.
Desperate to be on the lad's good side, she hatches a shock plan next week in EastEnders.
The troublemaker played by Kim Medcalf was alone when she returned to Albert Square earlier in 2022.
But six years prior to her comeback, when she had made her way to Walford for her mother Peggy's funeral, Sam had taken her son Ricky with her only to leave him behind with his father Jack Branning.
At the time, Sam chose to live her life without the boy in Portugal, focusing on her business ventures.
This meant sacrificing her bond with Ricky, whom she didn't even recognise when returning to the Square.

However, Sam is willing to try and show her son the care she deprived him from - but the youngster isn't ready to open up to her.
Coming up, Ricky (portrayed by Frankie Day) even blanks Sam when she tries to make conversation, angry that she neglected another one of his school event.
Luckily for her, Sam finds an opportunity to bond with Ricky when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) decides to arrange a belated birthday dinner for Amy.
The meal is to make up for the fact that the teen refused to leave her room on the day itself.

In an attempt to build bridges with Ricky, Sam wants to blag an invite to Amy's birthday meal but Denise Fox (Diane Parish) tells her she's not welcome.
Despite Denise trying to thwart her plans, Sam tries to get to Ricky through Amy.
She arrives at the Branning house with a dress to give the girl, knowing it could be another way for her to secure an invite.
Sam uses her old set of keys to let herself in and heads upstairs - only to make a shocking discovery about Amy.
