Eamonn Holmes breaks his silence after horror fall saying ‘I’ve been through hell’
EAMONN Holmes has broken his silence on his horrifying fall at home which left him with a fractured shoulder and in "an awful lot of pain".
Eamonn, 62, was forced to take time off work last month for an operation to try to help ease his chronic pain when things went from bad to worse when he fell down the stairs.
The TV presenter has opened up on "going through hell" with a fractured shoulder while recovering from a back operation.
The GB News star said he has had a "hellish" few weeks, and will need even more time off to make a full recovery before returning to present the news with his co-star Isabel Webster.
Eamonn, who has already been missing from the show for over a month, admitted his fall was a "massive setback" in the process.
Breaking his silence, he told : "Last month I suffered a fall at home while I was recovering from my back operation and fractured my shoulder.

"It was a massive setback and means I'm going to need to take some extra time off to get myself better.
"It's been a hellish few weeks, but day by day I'm improving and I am remaining positive and trying to look on the bright side.
“I can't wait to get back to work at GB News and do what I love most, presenting the news and discussing the issues of the day alongside Isabel with our wonderful viewers and listeners."
He concluded by thanking his fans for their "lovely messages" which have "kept him going" during the difficult time.
It comes after it was revealed that Eamonn would not be back on TV until next year after suffering the devastating fall at home.
The former This Morning star took a nasty tumble at his Surrey home - leaving him with a fractured shoulder and in "an awful lot of pain".
His co-host Isabel shared the news last week, telling fans: “It’s been a tough few weeks for my lovely friend and co-presenter.
“I can’t wait to have him back, fighting fit, in the New Year.”
Eammon’s fall came shortly after he had spinal surgery to try and ease chronic pain in his back and legs.
The TV star with a fractured shoulder and forced him to undergo a second operation within the space of just a few weeks.
His rep explained: "As a consequence of being laid low by major surgery, Eamonn suffered a fall at home a couple of weeks ago and had to undergo another operation.
“He’s naturally gutted by the setback, but the good news is the surgery on his shoulder went well. He’s now receiving fantastic care and resting.
"Sadly it means Eamonn is likely to need a longer period off TV than he first thought in order to get himself better and heal."

He added of the star, who co-hosts the breakfast show: "Despite being in an awful lot of pain, he’s remaining positive.
"He is looking forward to doing what he loves most and being back on TV and presenting on GB News just as soon as he can.”
