GAVIN and Stacey star Alison Steadman broke down in tears after she discovered that her father was adopted.
The actress - who played lovable Pam Shipman on the hit BBC sitcom - revealed that neither her dad George or her family were aware that he was adopted.
The 76-year-old star was devastated to learn her grandmother wasn't biologically related to her.
Alison, who was joined by co-star Larry Lamb on the show, was shocked by the life-changing news, which was revealed to her on tonight's episode after researchers dug into her DNA history.
Alison was born in Liverpool to Marjorie and George Percival Steadman, and was the youngest of three sisters.
TV star Alison told Larry, 75, that she was informed off-camera that her dad was eight months old when he was adopted.

Discussing the revelation with the researchers, they told her they had analysed her DNA to discover the origins of your bloodline, which lead back to Isle of Man.
But the researcher explained there was no genetic link to herself and other people that have a genetic link to the Steadman line.
After hearing the shock news, Alison broke down in tears and told Larry: "I haven't been able to tell you this, but it's been discovered that my father was adopted.
"Nobody knew, no one has ever said a word in the family."

Becoming increasingly choked up, Alison said: "I really find it hard to believe, he was close to his mother.
"You'd think if he was adopted somewhere along the lines, something would have been said.
"He was a lot younger than his brother and sister and didn't look at all like them, but we didn't think anything of it."
In floods of tears, she continued: "If it is true, I don't know what to say, I just find it quite sad.
"It just means that I'm not related to my grandma."
She recalled the final moments she shared with her father before he passed away and said production controller George had been a wonderful role model.
The Life actress was told that they had found her real paternal grandmother, May Craine, in the Isle of Man.
The TV favourite discovered that she also had another aunt, called Margret, who was May's youngest daughter.
Speaking to Larry, Alison said: "I am still trying to digest the whole thing, it's not easy
"I keep seeing my dad and my grandma, the image of them, and I keep realising how different my dad was."
Alison was left overwhelmed as she visited her grandmother's grave, who passed away in 1977, at the age of 89.
"This is not what I thought I would be doing this morning," Alison said.
" It's strange to think my dad's mother is here."
Earlier this week, the actress opened up about the shock revelation on Good Morning Britain.
She told hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls: "I don't think [my father] knew. He was eight months old.
"'I was so glad that I had Larry with me honestly because I was just so upset by it, I really was."

She said: "My grandmother, my aunt, my uncle they all knew [and] they didn't tell me, but they were lovely people that's the main thing and I love them to bits.
"But to find out suddenly that my grandma wasn't my grandma as it was, was quite upsetting."
