HARRIET Finch risked and lost her life amid an explosive week on the show as she went searching for a pregnant Amelia Spencer.
But Emmerdale fans have said her funeral scenes didn't do the former vicar justice after last night's instalment of the ITV soap.
Viewers were fuming on social media when they realised Harriet wouldn't be getting the send-off they felt she deserved.
Thursdays trip to the Dales began with PC Swirling and Harriet's nearest and dearest paying their respects.
But just as fans were expecting emotional funeral scenes, the soap decided otherwise and skipped to Dawn Taylor (played by Olivia Bromley) crying alone.
The vicar turned policewoman was given a wake where Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) made a tear-jerking speech.

This wasn't enough for viewers who angrily swarmed over to Twitter.
Most remembered that Liv Flaherty and Faith Dingle - who were also killed off during Emmerdale's anniversary week - were given a joint funeral aired on screens.
"So, we didn't even get to see Harriet's service?", one penned.
Another commented: "Does no one like Harriet? They did a whole episode on Liv and Faiths joint funeral meanwhile Harriet gets a police car and they don’t even show it."

A third wrote: "Harriet deserves better than a non-funeral" while another fan echoed: "We don’t get to see Harriet’s funeral? That’s c**p."
"No on screen funeral for Harriet? Tf, she's been in it a long time so she deserved one. No doubt Al’s will get dedicated screentime with Chas blubbing though", a soap fan complained.
One finally asked: "Sorry but Harriet didn't deserve that non show funeral, she was the village's Vicar and she got that send off?"
The Dingle were at the centre of heart-breaking scenes as they paid tribute to both Liv and Faith one last time during their joint funeral.
